Monad Metropolis, Monad's global hackathon, came to Latin America through Crecimiento. On October 3, 2026, builders in Buenos Aires, Salta, San Salvador de Jujuy, Mendoza, Rosario and Cochabamba gathered on the same day to form teams, move their projects forward with mentors and get ready to compete for more than USD 250,000 in prizes.

Each city held its own in-person event, organized together with a local community. Salta Dev in Salta, Jujuy Dev in San Salvador de Jujuy, CuyoConnect in Mendoza, NEXA in Rosario and CochaBlock in Cochabamba. The Buenos Aires event, for its part, was hosted by Crecimiento. All six venues shared the same agenda simultaneously. Monad's technical workshop and the Metropolis presentation took place in person in Buenos Aires and were streamed live to every venue, where participants followed along on screen and joined in with their questions.

Many teams arrived already formed, after working together throughout September, and used the day to meet in person and make progress close to the mentors. Others came together on site, around the ideas and profiles that crossed paths in each room. All of them worked throughout the day with mentors on hand, who helped them define the scope of their ideas, solve technical problems and refine their projects ahead of the competition's close. The support covered both technical development and product, design and business decisions, so that every team finished the day with a stronger project and clear next steps.

The agenda included the Hackathon Experiences panel with Marcos Lanzani, founder of FUD, Tomás Mazzitello, founder of AQUA0, and Ignacio Becerra, hacker and hackathon organizer. The three shared what they have learned from competing and offered practical advice for the final stretch of a global competition.

Many of the builders had already hacked with Crecimiento at Blitz Buenos Aires or the Aleph Hackathon, and came back with more experience and their sights set on a global competition. For others, Metropolis was their first chance to take part in an international hackathon in their own city.

Metropolis reached cities where international hackathons rarely arrive, and the response from their communities confirmed that the talent to build is spread across the entire region.

The Metropolis build window closes on October 13. Project judging runs from October 14 to 27, and global winners will be announced on November 3. Crecimiento will follow the teams from Argentina and Bolivia closely through this final stretch and share their results.

Thanks to Salta Dev, Jujuy Dev, CuyoConnect, NEXA and CochaBlock for bringing Metropolis to their cities, to mentors Facundo Padilla, Gabriel Aufgang, Mauricio Medina, Favio Montealegre, Alejandro Repetto, Ian Healy, Franco Duran and Joaquin Cortez for supporting the teams, and to the Monad Foundation for making it possible.
